Jasper Fforde's books are some of my favorites - as silly as his name. :)
I lean toward the painfully helpful... "double F Ford with an E"

I never thought about it before, but I pronounce it "Fyord" for some unknown reason. I am weird and made it Nordic, changing that second "f" into a "j" mentally. I will make an effort to stop pronouncing it this way now!
