And even if it IS locked, it might get stolen. A guy parked his bike right outside our front doors a couple weeks ago and locked it to the pole. Someone cut through the cable and took his bike in broad daylight.
Funnily enough, at least two of our customers discover this very fact every year. I think they believe that "It's the LIBRARY! Who would steal at the LIBRARY?" Same people who would steal from church.
Same people who steal stuff FROM the library just might take stuff from OUTSIDE the library. Just a theory.
